Plain Language: The First Responder in Health Communication

In honor of International Plain Language Day, join us October 15 at 11am-1pm, Eastern, for an exciting discussion on creating clear health communications.

When it comes to communicating information related to health, clarity is critical for helping the reader find, understand, and use information during what can be a stressful time in their lives or the lives of their loved ones. In this engaging webinar, our panel of health literacy experts will share examples of using plain language to develop health-related communications that put the needs of the reader first. Drawing on their experience in public health and healthcare for individuals, they will share case studies, discuss challenges, and share resources to help you improve your own health communications.

Not able to attend the session on October 15? No problem! This event will be recorded and the link shared with registrants after the session!

Join Katie Leath, Director of Center for Health Literacy, University of Arkansas for Medical Science, for a lively discussion with our expert panel:

This interactive session will include small break-out rooms so you can connect directly with fellow members, share best practices, and exchange ideas about using and promoting plain language in an AI-driven world.

    Why attend?

Earlier this year, our community conversations on AI showed just how top of mind this topic is. This meetup is your chance to continue that dialogue while also building meaningful connections with peers who understand your challenges and goals.
